5. No Gold Lead is Safe (CLG EU vs Moscow 5)

This one could be classified as either a throw or a comeback, but it was inexcusable for Moscow 5 to lose with the gold lead they had. The game started slowly, but by the 30 minute mark, M5 had accrued a 10k gold lead. Racking up kills and objectives, Moscow 5 grew that lead to 26 thousand gold. Still unable to end, a monstrous team fight at CLG EU’s bottom inhibitor swung the momentum. Then after 60 minutes, M5 lost a baron fight giving CLG EU the opportunity to end the game.

4. Link’s Lissandra Ult (CLG vs. TSM)

TSM and CLG met in week 4 of the 2015 Spring Split with a lot on the line. It was the Golden Age of CLG and both teams were tied at 6-1. With TSM dominating the rivalry, CLG had hopes of changing that. After tussling for 30 minutes, CLG snuck a baron and translated that into a 7k gold lead. CLG looked to have the game in-hand and were finally ready to topple TSM… That is until a team-fight went awry. With Link’s misplay, TSM was able to outscale CLG and continue to dominate the rivalry.

3. Four Barons, Eight Dragons, Zero Wins  (DIG vs FOX)

Dignitas and Echo Fox went to war for a long, long time with wins at a premium for both teams. Dignitas was in control for the entire game racking up objective after objective. Despite getting 8 dragons, 4 barons and several inhibitors destroyed DIG still could not end the game. At 67 minutes, after FOX lost a teamfight, they somehow snuck into Dignitas’ base.

2. They’re Winning… Until They Lose (DIG vs CST)

Although Scarra’s response was from the 2014 LCS, it still alluded to Coast’s uncanny ability to throw games away… Something they would reinforce a year later. With a small lead against DIG, Jesiz got caught way out of position which prompted Coast to make a questionable baron call. Dignitas responded by pushing down mid and after Coast’s recalls got stopped by Gamsu, DIG was rewarded a free win.

1. Jensen Can’t Chronobreak (C9 vs TSM)

Following a horrendous start to the NA LCS 2017 Spring finals for Cloud9, they rebounded to force a game 5 against TSM. Jensen was on his signature champ in Ekko as the game lingered on a knife’s edge. With Jensen on a rampage, C9 had a small lead at 40 minutes when a single misplay changed everything. Jensen’s inability to ult on Ekko gave TSM the team fight win, and the NA LCS crown.
