Dungeon Crawl RPG Guild of Dungeoneering Ultimate Edition Is Out Now

Guild of Dungeoneering is back as the Ultimate Edition. It’s a remastered version of Gambrinous’ award-winning 2015 indie hit specifically for mobile. A turn-based dungeon crawler, you use cards pulled from your Guild decks to place rooms, monsters, traps and, naturally, loot.

You don’t actually control the hero. You build the dungeon around them and basically watch them deal with whatever terrible situation you just created. Your hero then makes their own decisions about where they’re going and what they’re willing to fight.

Guild of Dungeoneering Ultimate Edition bundles up a lot of features

There are three new dungeoneer classes: Guild Digger, Super Chump and Ultra Chump. It includes 25 new monsters, 22 new equippable pieces of loot, 16 new quests and a lot more bard songs. There’s also an extremely Fancy draw-in animation that plays when you drop a room into the dungeon.

Dungeoneer customisation has been expanded, with many more options, including dozens of new hairstyles and accessories. There are new victory traits, and the first mission now comes with an in-depth tutorial.

The Guildopedia is another new addition. You can examine every unlockable attack card and enemy in the game, although each one only becomes viewable after you’ve encountered it. You can also switch between a selection of fancy paper backgrounds, while the dungeoneer voice sets now come with two variations.

And the best part? The two DLCs, Pirates Cove and Ice Cream Headaches, are part of Guild of Dungeoneering Ultimate Edition. The devs have completely rebalanced things, making both the guild management and dungeon runs more enjoyable. And yeah, sending Chumps to their doom is still one of the more fun parts.
