Matthew “super” DeLisi is an American player who currently playing in the main Tank role for the San Francisco Shock in the Overwatch League.

Both a great player and popular entertainer on Twitch who isn’t shy when it comes to voicing his opinions both on and off the stage, Super has become one of the most beloved faces in the Overwatch League. In today’s video, we explore Super’s roots as a competitive player and his journey on the path to pro.

After competing on a variety of talented teams in the Tier 2 Overwatch scene in the years prior to the start of the Overwatch League, Super had already begun to make a name for himself. With this teammates, the up-and-coming Tank player had already begun the process of raking in online tournament wins against the likes of future Overwatch League competition.

On June 17, 2018, Super had his big break as he was officially signed to the San Francisco Shock roster for the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. While the SF Shock struggled as a team that was still coming together, they found themselves frequently on the receiving end of the Defeat screen against other OWL teams which resulted in their overall ranking suffering and the franchise ending their 2018 run as a low-mid tier team.

However, with a post-season roster update and the rise of the GOATS meta, the SF Shock and Super came out of the gates looking stronger than ever and continue to this day as a powerhouse at the top of the rankings.
