Cosy Shopkeeping Game Trash Goblin Is Now Out on Mobile

What a noble idea this goblin has! They take a pile of absolute junk and try to make something cute out of it. It’s the one from Trash Goblin, the PC hit and cosy shopkeeping game. Spilt Milk Studios, the indie developer behind the Best Small Studio award, has launched the mobile version of the game.

Trash Goblin is all about digging up weird little trinkets, cleaning them, messing around with them, and eventually selling them to a bunch of colourful customers. You chip away at different kinds of dirt and cruft, with each type behaving differently, until you finally get whatever weird knick-knack was hiding underneath.

For cleaning, you scrub everything down with a sponge and get the forgotten curios looking nice enough to sell. Next, you can combine different trinkets together to create strange new objects. You can also uncover, clean, upcycle and recolour your stuff.

As for the customers in Trash Goblin, some of them want very specific objects. Some have stories to tell and some are just wandering around and browsing. Getting to know your regular customers matters, too, since you can make custom pieces based around what they actually want.

Even a cosy goblin business needs constant upgrades!

The money you earn from selling the products lets you buy new and better tools. It gives you more ways to restore your trinkets and make them more valuable. You can also expand the space by adding shelves, storage and plants. There are also options to change the wallpaper and swap out the bedclothes.

There are some handy gadgets to pick up along the way too, including a Coffee Pot and a Soak Tub. The Soak Tub can clean things up overnight, while things like an honesty box give you somewhere to get rid of unwanted trinkets.

The mobile version of Trash Goblin offers 333 Trinkets and Accessories. There are three different trinket-care minigames. You get four distinct locations, 40 unique NPCs, more than 100 quests and 40 achievements. Grab the game on the Google Play Store for $12.99.
