14 Jul Mobile Gaming RuneScape Adds the Much-Anticipated Housing Update July 14, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Jagex has rolled out the massive player-owned housing update in RuneScape. They’ve rebuilt the whole thing from the ground up as part of RuneScape’s ongoing 25th Anniversary Road to Restoration. The biggest change is that player-owned houses now give you way more freedom than before. And the Construction skill has been completely overhauled, too. Construction now goes all the way up to level 120, bringing a brand-new progression system, new ways to train, and a whole bunch of rewards tied to levelling it up. The housing update brings more than 650 decorative items to RuneScape, along with five different house styles. You’re no longer stuck with rigid layouts either, since rooms now have flexible shapes and layouts. Also, you can place the furniture freely instead of being locked into fixed spots. You can customise flooring, interior frames, and even furniture skins. Next, you can unlock special achievements, bosses, and quest decorations to display around your house. And throw on some music with your own Music Box or Jukebox, both of which can play your favourite tunes from across Gielinor. There’s even a Weather Vane that lets you control the weather and atmosphere around your home. Meanwhile, the new Shroud System changes the visual appearance of the land surrounding your plot. The housing update brings the new Homestead system to RuneScape Instead of everyone just living separately, you can now create or join a Homestead with up to five players. So, you can move between each other’s houses without any hassle and use the facilities your neighbours have built. Speaking of achievements, your house is a proper trophy room now. New Achievement and Collection features let you put your adventures on display. There are display stations and cases for your favourite weapons, Boss Trophies, and Archaeological finds. And the Achievement Log Display and Skillscape Stand let everyone see how far you’ve progressed. For the rest of the details, check out this dev vlog. Or just get the game from the Google Play Store!
