19 May Mobile Gaming RogueSlide Is a Roguelike Dungeon Crawler That’s Also a 2048-Like, Out Now! May 19, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment In the world of roguelikes, there are tons of games that have riffed on Slay the Spire. While some of them meet an untimely death (!), others manage to survive for the USP they offer players. RogueSlide is a new title that seems to be falling under the second category. The title lives right on that edge where every encounter feels dangerous. Instead of selecting attacks or managing decks, you send every object on the board sliding violently across the grid. Yes, sliding puzzle mechanics, dungeon crawling, and roguelike progression. There’s a bit of everything in it. RogueSlide comes from developers Tom Brinton, Alex Morris, Nathan Thomson, and Christian Walter, with publishing handled by Beep Yeah! Now out on mobile, the team’s inspiration was apparently 2048. Yes, the Sokoban-like. Here’s what you do in RogueSlide You move tiles across compact dungeon grids where every action shifts the entire board. You don’t walk; you slide. Enemies slide. Items slide. Everything crashes around together in chain reactions where positioning matters a lot. You attack monsters by colliding into them, merge with items to pick them up, grab upgrades, drink potions, and cast spells. Every move can also get you murdered by skeletons or monsters because you pushed yourself into a bad corner three turns earlier. Runs are short, while dungeon layouts, enemies, and choices keep changing each run. There are three worlds with different enemies and obstacles, along with 5 unlockable characters. Beyond the standard runs, there’s also a Daily Dungeon mode and an Arena mode. There’s a constant balancing act between risk and survival. Healing is limited, and HP loss matters, of course! If RogueSlide sounds interesting to you, check it out on the Google Play Store. Or take a look at the game first and then decide.
