January 15, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Niantic is dropping the next major Monster Hunter Now event, which includes the arrival of Riftborne Diablos. And there’s a noticeable increase in monster activity across multiple biomes as well. The event begins on January 19th, 2026 and runs until January 25th, 2026. The Riftborne Diablos will start appearing in Monster Hunter Now soon! Throughout the event period, Diablos will be appearing more often. It’s joined by Brute Tigrex, Goss Harag, Quematrice, Lunagaron and Deviljho, including Riftborne Deviljho. Activity will also rise for the elder dragon Kushala Daora at Elder Dragon Interception points. Hunt-a-thons will provide more rewards during the event. You’ll be receiving two of each material in the first and second slots of basic rewards. Also, you’ll get a chance to obtain 10 additional Rarity 1 materials from the defeated monster. Elder Dragon Interceptions will also see enhanced payouts, granting two of each material in the first to fourth slots of basic rewards. The changes include group hunts as well, with a guaranteed second slot of monster materials for group hunt rewards. The new update also introduces new quests alongside the increased monster activity. The quests include objectives such as slaying Diablos and Goss Harag, along with slaying or repelling Kushala Daora. For weapon-specific challenges, a Heavy Bowgun Style Quest will be available during the event. These quests focus on slaying monsters while equipped with a heavy bowgun and offer Diablos materials and riftborne materials as rewards. Another addition arriving in Monster Hunter Now is weapon style customisation for weapons forged from Riftborne Diablos materials. The feature unlocks alongside the introduction of Riftborne Diablos. Weapons forged or upgraded using Diablos materials have high attack power even without an elemental attribute. The upcoming event is titled the Assault of the Riftborne Diablos.
