Popular streamers Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren and Charles ‘MoistCr1TiKal’ Christopher White Jr. have become co-owners of Shopify Rebellion. As a result, the North American organisation has merged with Ludwig and MoistCr1TiKal‘s previous team Moist Esports. The merger marks the end of Moist Esports. an organisation founded in 2021 by Moist Cr1TiKal. Over the last four years, the organisation fielded rosters in Rocket League, VALORANT and Apex Legends. To mark the merger between the two organisations, Shopify Rebellion has launched an exclusive fan pack where fans can purchase merchandise and pins of Mogi and Rebel, the organisations’ mascots. “Today, we’re welcoming Ludwig and Charles as new co-owners of Rebellion,” reads a statement from Shopify Rebellion founder Jeremy Steeves. “Coming together allows us to field more and stronger teams, invest deeper for fans, provide more to our players, and create a singular, more resilient organisation over the long-term.” Ludwig is one of the most prominent streamers on Twitch, boasting 3.3m followers on his channel. On YouTube, his channel has a total of 6.5m subscribers. White Jr. is another huge personality on Twitch, with 5.6m followers on his channel. His own YouTube channel has 16.4m subscribers making the pair two of the most popular content creators in the gaming space. Interestingly, this isn’t the first collaboration between Shopify Rebellion and Moist Esports. In September 2023, the two organisations joined forces to field a joint roster in VALORANT Challengers North America, co-creating the MxS team. In 2024, the team placed third in the VALORANT Challengers North America Playoffs with its most recent match taking place in November 2024.
