Modern Warfare Is Giving Out 10 Free Battle Pass Tiers, Here's How To Unlock Them

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Season 2 is ending very soon. To help players rise through the Battle Pass ranks, Activision is giving away 10 free tiers, but there is a catch.

You must already own the Battle Pass to redeem the 10 free tiers. The Battle Pass is shared across Modern Warfare and Warzone, and the 10 free tiers applies to both.

Everyone who buys the Battle Pass before April 5 at 11 PM PT will find the 10 free tiers available to redeem from the “Just For You” section of the menu. Those who are above tier 90 will still get the 10 tiers, with whatever remaining number of tiers carrying forward to Season 3’s Battle Pass. For example, you’re at tier 94, you’ll get 6 tiers to bring to you 100 in the Season Pass pass, and then 4 more to start you off when the next pass arrives.

In addition to the free tier offer, Activision is unlocking double XP across Modern Warfare and Warzone this weekend to bring an end to Season 2. As announced previously, Season 2 ends on April 7. At some point around then, you can expect the company to reveal Season 3 and a new Battle Pass.

In other news, Modern Warfare’s multiplayer is free this weekend as part of a special offer. It’s just the latest free Call of Duty experience, as the battle royale game Warzone is also free. Additionally, the free-to-play Call of Duty: Mobile just received a big update with new content and more.

In other Call of Duty news, Activision has launched Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered on PS4. It includes a remastered version of the campaign, but no multiplayer, as leaks previously suggested; it’s coming to Xbox One and PC at the end of April due to an exclusivity arrangement with Sony. The game has reportedly been finished and ready to go for some time already, with Activision just waiting for the right time to release it.
