As a result of the deal, the two parties will continue collaborating on a variety of projects highlighting women in esports and gaming into 2025. The extension of the partnership includes projects such as brand features, Twitch streams involving platform ambassadors and the hosting of a bi-annual esports tournament. The*gamehers and Thunderpick first partnered in January 2024 and saw the creation of a Counter-Strike 2 Pro-Am tournament series to provide female-led teams with an opportunity to compete in the North American qualifiers for the Thunderpick World Championship 2024. Thunderpick continues to establish itself as a prominent esports betting platform through a range of partnerships and hosting tournaments. In March, it secured a multi-year deal with Scandinavian organisation Heroic to become its exclusive global betting sponsor. In addition, the platform secured its first partnership with Evil Geniuses in May 2023. The*gamehers has become one of the largest gaming platforms for women. In June, it hosted the PowHER Play social event during NY Tech Week to provide networking opportunities and a chance for stakeholders to discuss diversity in gaming.
