Waves Gaming’s hubs had previously been kitted out with over 80 ZOWIE PC gaming monitors, as well as 20 consoles, in a specialised area for visitors named the “ZOWIE Streaming Space.” The venue expects to host over 20 amateur and professional tournaments at its facility across 2020.

Steve Yang, Director of BenQ America, commented on the deal in a release: “From its inception, ZOWIE has been dedicated to making a positive impact by offering unique experiences and partnering with special organizations such as Waves Gaming.

“With this partnership, we look forward to continuing to grow the esports landscape in Canada and bringing together competitors to have fun, provide great entertainment, and find that sense of community that is special to the gaming world.”

Waves Gaming, previously stylised as Waves E-Gaming, was acquired by Amuka Esports in February of this year.

Ben Feferman, Chief Executive Officer of Waves Gaming and Amuka Esports, shared his thoughts on the agreement: “ZOWIE has proven that they aren’t just committed to creating innovative products, they are just as committed to supporting gaming communities. This partnership with ZOWIE allows us to give our gamers the opportunity to play and compete using the best hardware available for the esports community.”

Esports Insider says: An acquisition by Amuka Esports should have only served to solidify Wave Gaming’s attractiveness for partners, and indeed that seems to be the case here following ZOWIE’s partnership renewal.
