07 Jan Mobile Gaming Best Battle Royale Shooters on Android 2020: Top Games Like Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends January 7, 2020 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Battle royale shooters are still going strong, despite having a comparatively quiet year in 2019. Apex Legends launched to huge critical acclaim, stealing a massive wedge of Fortnite’s audience, who fought back valiantly with a Chapter 2 reboot and Star Wars collaboration. In fact, Fortnite ended the year as the highest grossing game of 2019. We’re not sure how long the battle royale trend will continue, but on mobile at least we’ve got some exciting things in store. Apex Legends is still rumoured to arrive, for example, and we imagine that PUBG Mobile, Fortnite, and Call of Duty Mobile will continue to thrive thanks to updates and events. If you’re either a huge fan of the genre looking to dip your toes in the water on mobile, or simply fancy checking out your first battle royale, this list is for you. We’ve put together what we consider to be the best in the genre below in a handy little list. Best Battle Royale Shooters on Android 2020 The Best: Fortnite Fortnite still rules the battle royale roost on mobile, and that will likely continue until Apex Legends makes its touchscreen debut. Fortnite stands the test of time thanks to its wealth of regular updates, accessible gameplay, and creative building mechanics. For the uninitiated, you can build a wide variety of structures using resources you gather while exploring the map. We reckon Fortnite is best because it supports cross play. If you hook up a controller, you can play with your friends on console and PC. It’s also the genuine article, and allows you to play with the same account across all devices. No other mobile battle royale currently offers that. The Rest Much like our MOBA list, we consider battle royales on mobile to have a clear winner and a list of alternatives. So we’ve simply split this list into two and are rounding up the rest of the battle royales we like below. PUBG Mobile PUBG Mobile is a terrific touchscreen version of the world’s first battle royale shooter. It’s basically the same game, just recreated for the smaller screen, with the same maps, equipment, guns, and more making an appearance. It’s a shame that it doesn’t support cross play like Fortnite, but if you don’t like building and only play on mobile, we’d say this is the best alternative. Call of Duty Mobile Call of Duty Mobile launched with its battle royale mode intact, and it’s a good’un. It’s a lot like Blackout, Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode, with its different character classes to play as and a map that features miniature version of classic maps from the franchise. It’s also got a multiplayer component and zombies for those that feel like honing their skills in different settings. Rules of Survival Rules of Survival arrived well before Fortnite and PUBG Mobile, paving the way for the mobile battle royale experience. It doesn’t really do anything drastically different to its competitors and is pretty much just a clone of PUBG, but if you fancy a history lesson, check it out. Cyber Hunter Cyber Hunter launched last year, bringing its own take on Fortnite by the folks behind Rules of Survival. We found it to be an incredibly polished effort that felt great to play on mobile and did some great stuff with its building mechanics. Rather than allow you to build anything, you could instead bring three blueprints into battle with you, and build them at any time using resources you gather from the same boxes you get gear from. Garena Free Fire Garena Free Fire is a hugely popular mobile battle royale that focuses on fast-paced gameplay. Each game lasts a mere 10 minutes, but aside from that, this is battle royale as you know and love it. Source link Facebook Twitter Google Email Pinterest
