Esports and gaming coaching platform Metafy has continued to expand its portfolio of products by launching Metafy Courses, a product designed to provide experiences to users via digital content.

Designed to create in-depth digital content from gaming experts, Metafy has announced a variety of courses that are already available to purchase. Some of the Metafy Courses are produced by players like former 100Thieves Coach Michael ‘Mikes’ Hockom (VALORANT), Seth Manfield (Magic: The Gathering) and Luminosity team member Gavin ‘Tweek’ Dempsey (Super Smash Brothers Ultimate), with more additions every week.

Alongside solo courses, Metafy’s new product will also include collaborations between players. One example Metafy provided includes Yu-Gi-Oh players N3sh, PAKTcg and World Champion Ruben Penaranda creating a two-hour masterclass session.

According to a release, each course provides learning modules, tutorials or exclusive content that is tailored to specific games or skills. Metafy told Esports Insider that the courses currently range from between $3-$100, however, the prices are set by the creators so this range could change.

Alongside providing more education options for fans, Metafy Courses also aims to enhance its offering to creators and coaches by providing them with another avenue to monetise their skills. As a result, Metafy’s new product will sit alongside its offerings such as Coaching Sessions, Groups and Classes.

In celebration of the product launch, Metafy announced that it is holding a month-long contest throughout October. The competition will offer cash prizes to creators who generate the most courses sold.

In total, Metafy’s month-long competition will reward $15,000 (~£11,470) in prizes across October, split into four weekly contests. Metafy noted that a course must be priced at or above $10 (£7.63) to be eligible for the competition.

The launch of Metafy Courses continues to expand the company’s position in esports and gaming, evolving from a coaching platform into a marketplace for gaming creators to engage with their audiences. In August, this transition saw the launch of several new digital products, headlined by its Metafy Groups offering.

This expansion, referred to as Metafy 2.0, included the launch of a new free tier for creators. Called Metafy Core, the tier takes 8% of earnings from Core members instead of a flat monthly fee. Metafy noted that this feature is tailored towards smaller creators wishing to sell courses, provide coaching and use its other products without an upfront commitment.

Launched in 2020, Metafy continues to connect customers to esports and gaming coaching across a variety of games, including Rocket League, VALORANT and League of Legends, among others. Alongside its coaching marketplace platform, the company also operates a content creator-focused agency called Sumo.

Speaking about the new product offerings, Metafy CEO, Josh Fabian, commented: “Metafy 2.0 is designed to help creators escape the mediocrity trap by turning passion into profit.

Our new Courses and Core model gives creators the tools to monetise their skills without the burden of hefty fees, letting them focus on what they love while building sustainable businesses. We’re not just an aggregator — we’re an enabler for niche experts to thrive in their communities.”
