Anime Vanguards Takaroda Guide

Farm units are unique additions to any balanced team build, and as of Update 0.5, we have a new meta Farm unit! Though, admittedly, Takaroda wasn’t up against much competition since the only Farm unit before his entrance was the Epic rarity Sprintwagon.

Takaroda, however, is a Legendary unit with stronger upgrades and more income per Wave overall. After 6 upgrades, he will generate an additional 10,000 Yen per Wave alongside the income from Wave completion and squashing enemies.

Being only Legendary in rarity, he isn’t overly difficult to obtain. Anime Vanguards has a built-in Legendary Pity system within the Summons. In the unlikely scenario that you don’t pull a Legendary unit after 50 Summons, you’ll gain one on your next pull guaranteed, which then resets your Pity.

You have a 4% chance to roll for a Legendary unit, and amongst those odds, a 12.5% chance that it will be Takaroda. When obtained, I recommended you then grind for the Legendary rarity Fortune Trait (2.5% Roll chance), which increases a Farm unit’s profits by 20% per Wave.

What Makes Farm Units Important?

Whilst Farm units don’t deal any physical damage to enemies per wave, they’re still a critical foundation for a strong team. They help afford all the costly placements and upgrades for higher-tier units such as Mythics, Secrets and Exclusives.

During the Boss Event game mode, Raids or even late-game stages such as Nightmare mode Double Dungeon, you’ll need to accumulate Yen quick per wave to maintain a balance and fend off the hoard of enemies that have more HP, can inflict Status Effects and create numerous obstacles.
