The Battle for the Grid League will include weekly online challenges and local community events. The tournament series will continue on through annual fighting game events such as Combo Breaker and CEO. Ultimately, the Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid League will hold its championship at Evo 2020 – the year’s largest fighting game competition – in Las Vegas from July 31st-August 1st. Prizing has not yet been announced for any part of the league. RELATED: Allied Esports and Simon to open esports venue in Mall of Georgia This is the first official league for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, which is based on the long-running television series and entertainment property currently owned by Hasbro. Battle for the Grid released in 2019 for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. nWay’s earlier series entry, mobile fighting game Power Rangers: Legacy Wars, was featured in an Amazon Mobile Masters competition in June 2018. Esports Insider says: With official backing from nWay and its high-profile partners, not to mention prime placement at Evo 2020, the Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid League has potential to carve out a place for itself in the ever-shifting fighting game scene.
