Natus Vincere, who knocked them out, now face a Vitality side using stand-in jL. Team Spirit came into the deciding match as the HLTV.org world number one. The last 2-2 decider of the Swiss stage, against Natus Vincere, ended their event. The match swung sharply. NAVI dominated the opening map on Cache. Spirit pulled level on Dust2, but it was NAVI who closed the series out on Anubis. HLTV reported that it was Spirit’s first defeat by NAVI since February 2025. NAVI recovered from two straight losses to sink Spirit NAVI’s run to the playoffs was uneven. They opened with 2-0 wins over G2 and FURIA, and the second map against G2 went to three overtimes. Then the form dipped. BetBoom beat them 2-0, on Dust II 10-13 and Nuke 9-13. Vitality followed, with NAVI losing Inferno 2-13 and Dust II 9-13. That second straight defeat dropped NAVI into the 2-2 pool, where one more loss would have ended their event. Spirit took a similar route to the decider. They lost 1-2 to MOUZ on 27 October. Spirit won Nuke 13-2 but then lost Dust2 8-13 and Mirage 14-16. Elimination at 2-3 has a clear financial cost. Teams finishing ninth to eleventh each receive US$31,250. Each losing quarter-finalist takes US$50,000. The winners’ share is split equally between players and organisation. NAVI were not the only late qualifiers. Nemiga beat The MongolZ 2-0 and FURIA beat Liquid 2-0 on the final group-stage day. Those three teams took the last three playoff places. Vitality face NAVI with jL standing in The rematch comes quickly, against the Vitality side that beat NAVI in the group stage. The other ties are Nemiga v FUT, Aurora v MOUZ and BetBoom v FURIA. Vitality are not at full strength. The organisation announced in August that Justinas ‘jL’ Lekavicius would stand in at BLAST Open Porto and PGL Masters Bucharest. The stakes extend beyond this event. NAVI’s tournament page calls Bucharest the penultimate major tournament before the PGL Major Singapore 2026. A deep run here would give any of the eight teams momentum heading into that event. PGL Masters Bucharest is an offline S-Tier event, rated Valve Tier 1, featuring 16 teams. The playoffs use a single-elimination bracket and include a separate match for third place. There is no second chance for anyone from here. The playoffs conclude on 31 October.
