Sim racing hardware manufacturer MOZA has announced the return of its sim racing competition, MOZA Challenge.

The 2024 edition of the tournament will be operated in partnership with sim racing platform Simracing.GP.

ESI Lisbon 2024

The MOZA Challenge will be hosted on the Simracing.GP platform for a second year following the debut of the competition in 2023. Open to sim racers from across the world, players will compete across five seasons to qualify for the grand final where MOZA sim racing hardware and a $10,000 (~£7,723) prize pool is up for grabs.

In addition to the seasonal competition, the 2024 MOZA challenge will feature a leaderboard challenge where drivers earn cash prizes by competing in as many races across the five seasons. The highest scorer will win a $650 (~£502) prize.

The grand final is set to take place in December and will be broadcast live, however, information on the platforms was not disclosed. Alongside the live stream, the event will feature live stewarding to ensure a level playing field is maintained throughout.

Simracing.GP is no stranger to sim racing event operations. In March 2024, it partnered with sim racing cockpit manufacturer Next Level Racing to host an event on sim racing title Assetto Corse Competizione.

Following a surge in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic, sim racing remains an attractive route into the esports industry for various non-endemic brands. In March 2024, the Silverstone Museum opened a dedicated sim racing suite while Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing secured a deal with American apparel brand New Era.
