Stealth Fluffy Horror Death Antique Lands on Mobile

Death Antique is really what happens when you mix stealth horror, graveyards, and fortune-telling with an adorable fluffy dog. Well, actually it’s not a dog; it’s a dog-shaped Floof. The stealth horror adventure is from Japanese developer SleepingMuseum, with their previous games being Terasene and Matsuro and Death Palette.

You play as a young grim reaper in Death Antique

She has lost her scythe, and now it’s a serious problem because her entire job involves collecting souls. So, she sneaks around graveyards at night and gathers wandering souls while trying not to get spotted by the prowling dead.

It takes place in a weird space between the earth below and the starry sky above, with the story slowly unravelling. There’s also a fortune teller hanging around in a dark alleyway, and their story eventually starts connecting with the grim reaper’s side of things.

Floof is a dog-shaped companion that you can pet whenever you get scared. A few pets and you’re apparently good to go again. Floof can also turn into a giant Floof Wall. It makes you invincible, so when the graveyard starts getting a little too intense, your fluffy buddy can become your personal emergency bunker.

If you, in case, screw things up, there’s a Retry Fortune Card that can help turn things around. Meanwhile, each night, you can meet different visitors and play four simple but tricky card games with them. Winning the games lets you power up Floof.

Death Antiqueis designed to be played with one hand. It’s for people who like the idea of stealth horror but don’t actually want something too scary. You’ll hide behind gravestones to stay out of the dead’s line of sight, then grab souls while they’re trying to flee.
