Dogpile Is a Cute, Thinky, Merge Game Where You Merge Dogs!

Dogpile is finally out on mobile (and Nintendo Switch) after gaining quite the popularity on PC. Studio Folly, the team behind Gubbins and Real Bird Fake Bird, and Toot Games, which made My Arms Are Longer Now, have released the game on Android.

Dogpile is a roguelike deck builder, actually

You merge cute dogs into increasingly huge dogs. When two of the same dog touch, BAM, they turn into a bigger dog. You’ve got to think about where you put everything, make smart purchases, and figure out how to keep that dog pile growing.

It’s part strategy game, part Suika-like. There are more than 15 dogs to play with, and they’re all beautifully animated with different shapes. The game also supports seven languages, so you can experience barks of all kinds, including waf waf and ouof ouof.

There are also Challenge Cards that push your builds further, along with Traits like Zoomy, Stinky, Barky, Sleepy, Timid, Cool, and plenty of other quirks. You can take your dogs to the Dog Wash to give them even more Traits, then find Dog Tags that boost those Traits. There are more than 100 Dog Tags, which can create synergies.

It’s about adopting way more dogs than any reasonable person should!

Dogpile has you managing all the clutter, upgrading your cards, improving your deck as you go, and pushing toward the BIGGEST dogs. The controls for the mobile version are specifically built around playing on the go, with one-handed interactions.

On the Google Play Store, Dogpile is free to try. And there’s a one-time $7.99 purchase that unlocks the entire game. The free version lets you play the first Deck with the Common and Uncommon Dog Tags for as long as you want. There are no ads involved, either.
