Gods Of The Grid has arrived on our favourite platform, aiming to satisfy our love of Greek mythology with our need to fidget with a matching game during train rides.

So what exactly is Gods Of The Grid?

Gods Of The Grid is a Match 3 game with a slightly more mythical flavour, and a bit of fantasy battling thrown in. You’re thrown into the world of Greek legends, and you’ll need to take on the myths, monsters, and even gods themselves. Your shape-matching is the key to victory.

Match up the shapes to cast spells. Be smart about it, attack, heal, and defend to take less damage.  If you’re observant and fortunate, you might get a chance to chain a bunch of matches together and let loose a devastating cascade to blitz your opponent. Make the most of your resources and figure out your opponent’s weakness to win the battle.

You gain levels as you progress, and when you do you can pick between three boons which will buff you for the rest of the run. Defeating the bosses of the Nine Realms will give you Relics, which will also make some big changes to your playstyle.

Match Or Die

It’s one life. If someone or something takes you out, then you’ll need to start your run again. You’ll lose much of the levels and boons you picked up along the way, and get sent back to the first realm.

You’re not starting totally from scratch though. Progressing on runs earns your Favor, which you can trade in at The Temple for permanent blessings that follow you on every future run, so you can push a little further than you did the last time.
