Crunchyroll Adds Card-Battler Visual Novel Battle Suit Aces to Its Android Vault

Crunchyroll’s Game Vault on Android has added a new game. It’s Battle Suit Aces, which is like a pile of old-school anime VHS tapes made into a deckbuilder. The game comes from Trinket Studios, the same developers behind Battle Chef Brigade.

The game has tactical card battles mixed with giant mechs, faction politics, and relic technology. The setup is pure space opera with an anime-sounding squad called the Patchworks crew. The overall structure reflects a bit of Fire Emblem because of the amount of dialogue and relationship-building between missions.

Battle Suit Aces is structured like an actual cartoon series. The story plays out across 45 episodes instead of standard chapters. It also comes with side stories, character interactions, filler-style downtime, and goofy detours in a way that mimics Saturday morning cartoon pacing.

So, what’s happening in Battle Suit Aces?

A mysterious threat starts causing problems across the galaxy. So, Union Command sends out Captain Heathcliff and his crew of pilots and scientists to investigate. Then it leads to uncovering ancient Relic Suits that may completely change everything.

The combat is all deckbuilding and lane-based strategy. You’re pairing mech pilots with Drones that generate energy, Command Cards that can completely shift fights, and different Suit mods that change how your team functions. You can recruit from five separate factions.

There are 75 fully-voiced characters across the cast, and the soundtrack includes more than 40 tracks by composer Carlos Eiene. Meanwhile, the missions swing between ambushes, heists, Starball matches, and standard mech fights. Take a look at the game below.

Battle Suit Aces is now available on the Google Play Store for Crunchyroll subscribers with Mega or Ultimate Fan memberships. The PC version launched in October 2025 and has garnered mostly positive reviews.
