07 Nov Mobile Gaming Best New Android Games and Sales: Fruit Ninja 2, Space Marshals 3, Danganronpa, and More November 7, 2020 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment There’s been no shortage of drama in the wider world this week, but as ever the mobile gaming world is an oasis of calm. The Google Play Store has risen to the occasion with a bumper crop of big titles and intriging prospects. Fruit Ninja 2 has appeared virtually out of nowhere, Samarost 2 likewise, and Space Marshals 3 even arrived a day early. Each of those games is terrific, and they’re joined by even more greatness in the form of Prizefighters 2 and a handful of other solid-looking efforts. There are some great bargains on offer, too. Read on to check them out. New Games Incredibly, it’s been a full decade since the first Fruit Ninja arrived on mobile. Halfbrick’s addictive, polished casual game was a bonafide megahit. Its sequel, which has been out in various territories as an early access release for a few months, maintains the choppy gameplay of the original while adding real-time multiplayer, a garden, and more. By some strange quirk of fate, Samarost 3 has been available on mobile for a while but not Samarost 2. Developer Amanita Design has rectified this omission by launching the new and improved version of Samarost 2 on the Google Play Store at the same time as it applied the update on PC. Gameplay wise, the game sees you playing a space gnome in search of your stolen dog. Landing a day ahead of schedule, Pixelbite’s top-down tactical shooter arrived on the Google Play Store with a bang. Like the first two games in the series, it’s set in a sci-fi wild west and it sees you using cover, sneaking around, and shooting jerks. It’ll be released in chapters, each costing $4.99. The first chapter is available now, and the initial download is free. Prizefighters is a classic. Released in 2017, it sees you trying to punch a pixellated opponent, and it bears a strong resemblance to Punch-Out!! on the NES. It’s much more sophisticated, though, and this sequel ups the ante even further with an expanded control scheme and more. You can download it now in early access. If you’ve played Worms, you pretty much know where you are with Sheep Squad. This tongue-in-cheek strategy game sees you hurling projectiles at your enemies, trying to judge the power and trajectory of your shots. It distinguishes itself from Team17’s classic not only with a comprehensive suite of multiplayer options but with a level editor too. If you’re young and cool enough, you probably know that TheOdd1sOut is a YouTube channel operated by James Rallison. The channel features stories from Rallison’s life animated in a distinctive fashion with Beymax-like characters. Let’s Bounce sees you bouncing through Rallison’s personal history, off the heads of the people he’s known. Teppen, the crossover card-battler featuring characters from Capcom’s various franchises, has just been updated to version 2.8. Those franchises include Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and many more, so it’s kind of a big deal. At the same time, it went live in 18 new territories, all in Central America and South America. Sales All three Reigns – Reigns, Reigns: Her Majesty, and Reigns: Game of Thrones – have had their prices slashed on Android. In case you don’t know, this ingenious series sees you running a kingdom by swiping an endless series of event cards left or right. You can pick them up for 99c, 99c, and $1.99 respectively, for a total saving of $6. The two Danganronpa games are even cheaper. Both Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa: Goodbye Despair are on sale for $4.99, which represents a massive $11 saving in both cases. The games sees you investigating murders at a high school being run by a sadistic teddy bear, while also hanging out with your teenage chums. Source link Facebook Twitter Google Email Pinterest
