Barbie: Horse Ride & Rescue Adds Tiny Companion Foals in Its Latest Update

Have you been riding around Moonrise Valley and thought the whole thing needed even more adorable horses? Well, PikPok and Mattel have apparently heard you! They’ve added cute foals in the latest update of Barbie: Horse Ride & Rescue.

While riding around the valley in Barbie: Horse Ride & Rescue, you can now discover and rescue these tiny foals. Once you’ve rescued one, you can either bring it along on your adventures or take care of it back at the ranch.

You can nurture the foals and influence their traits and appearance before taking them out into the world to explore. You’ll discover and rescue the foals while roaming around Moonrise Valley with Barbie and Barbie, then look after them at the ranch and gradually shape what they’re like.

There’s also a western-themed event running until October 2nd, 2026 called Dress for the West. Raquelle’s Boutique is back with a western makeover, and you can race and ride around collecting iconic cowgirl outfits for both the character and their horses.

New Zealand developer and publisher PikPok teamed up with global play and family entertainment company Mattel, Inc. for the game. It launched on mobile on June 16, 2026. A PC version through Steam and a Nintendo Switch 2 release are both planned for 2027.

The game is a wholesome Barbie adventure where you can ride around Moonrise Valley. You take part in time trials, dress up your character and horses, or just wander around and see what’s there. It’s horseback riding in a very Barbie fashion.
