Aux Court Takes Competitive Music to Another Level by Involving a Jury!

Aux Court is taking the age-old argument of who has better music taste and turning it into an actual courtroom battle. Indie game developer and music artist GabFreakyPie, also known as Gabriel Rivard, has released the game on Android.

Aux Court is a real-time multiplayer music curation game where your playlist choices get put on trial against somebody else’s. It all happens inside The Court of Public Taste. It basically turns music discovery and curation into a competitive game.

Order, order at the Aux Court!

You and another player go head-to-head in 1v1 music battles, trying to prove that your track is the one that deserves to win. You get four phases to survive. First, there’s Pick, where you choose a track exhibit that either fits the round’s theme or works as a counter to whatever your opponent might throw at you.

Then comes Listen, where you can stream real-time previews of the submitted songs. After that, everyone secretly votes YES, NO, or Fire on the opposing selection. Finally, the Verdict comes down, complete with a gavel drop, ELO points going up or down. And if things end in a split decision, there comes the wonderfully dramatic Hung Jury.

You can challenge friends, get matched against people through live matchmaking, or just go up against the built-in AUX Bot. There are ranked seasons and an ELO leaderboard too. You can climb the seasonal ladders, with Season 4 currently underway, keep track of your All-Time records, and eventually earn a permanent place in the Hall of Fame.

Aux Court also offers a Streamer Mode for Twitch streamers and creators. It has dedicated Host and Join tools so audiences can actually get involved in the music battles. And there’s more than one way to play, with Classic Duel, King of the Hill or KOTH, Speed Round, and Genre Gauntlet all available.
