Indie Psychological Horror Adventure Sally Face Lands on Mobile

Sally Face is finally out on mobile. The game actually released on mobile, as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of Sally Face, Episode One: Strange Neighbors. Yeah, it’s been 10 years since it first launched on PC.

Sally Face is about Sal Fisher

Sal is a boy with a prosthetic face and a seriously messed-up past. I need to elaborate how he’s been presented in the game. His face consists of severe facial scarring and the loss of his right eye from a childhood shotgun wound.

Because of these severe injuries, he wears a white prosthetic face mask with blue eyeholes to hide his disfigurement. It snaps to his head with clips, and he rarely takes it off in front of others. Sal has natural, light blue hair that he usually wears in pigtails.

So, you follow the kid around as he moves into the Addison Apartments and starts getting tangled up in some very strange stuff. With his handheld Gear Boy video game system, Sal can actually speak with ghosts and learn their stories.

After a series of mysterious murders hits the small town, Sal and his three friends start digging into what’s really happening. The gameplay doesn’t stay in one particular kind of horror lane. The game shifts from psychological horror toward paranormal horror as things unfold.

A lot of details in the visuals

Sally Face has a grimy, hand-drawn look inspired by 1990s cartoons as well as the creator’s (Steve Gabry a.k.a. Portable Moose) personal nightmares. The visuals are gory but simultaneously, there’s also a vibrant atmosphere running through everything.

The mobile version bundles all the episodes together. There’s also a 20% discount running on the full price of $7.99, with the offer ending on August 24th, 2026. So, grab Sally Face from the Google Play Store.
