Discounty: Supermarket Manager Is Out on Mobile

Discounty: Supermarket Manager is now available worldwide on mobile. Developer Crinkle Cut Games and publisher Snapbreak Games have released the narrative-driven management sim, letting you take over your very own discount supermarket and try to turn it into the favourite shopping spot.

In the run-down harbour town of Blomkest

You stock shelves, work the checkout, keep the place clean, organise the storage room, deal with customers, and expand the store. That’s not just it, though. In Discounty: Supermarket Manager, there’s a whole small-town drama happening around you.

The game follows a single-player campaign, with you stepping into Blomkest after your aunt hands you responsibility for its only supermarket, Discounty. Not everyone in town is thrilled about a newcomer taking over the local store either, so expanding the business can get a little awkward.

Outside of business hours, you can explore Blomkest and get to know its residents. You can build friendships with the locals, turn them into loyal Discounty customers, and uncover hidden secrets around town. The game puts a lot of emphasis on the social side of running the store, since your decisions can affect both your profits and the people living in the close-knit community.

Customers wander around looking for the products on their shopping lists, and whenever they pass a shelf, there’s a chance they’ll make an impulse purchase. So, if you’ve got some high-margin products you really want to move, you should stick them somewhere with plenty of foot traffic.

You’ll also have to work out trade deals with local manufacturers and suppliers. Part of it is gaining manufacturers’ trust, striking deals, and getting access to local speciality goods that can help increase Discounty’s profits.

Discounty: Supermarket Manager is available now on the Google Play Store. Snapbreak is offering the first few in-game days for free, while the full game unlocks with a one-time purchase.
