Netflix Minigolf Is the Latest Party Game to Play with Your Friends

Netflix Minigolf is what happens when regular mini golf crashes into pinball, steals a few ideas from Mario Kart, and shares the course with a Demogorgon and Young-Hee. Yeah, really, that’s what this package brings to you if you’re a Netflix subscriber.

Netflix Minigolf lets you play with up to three friends, so four players total. You’ll be putting your way through more than 60 courses inspired by Netflix shows like Bridgerton, Squid Game, and Stranger Things.

You launch the game on TV, connect your phone, pick your avatar, and then your phone becomes your controller. Some courses also have speed boosts you can aim for if your shot doesn’t have enough power behind it.

Now, this isn’t usual minigolf. So, while getting birdies helps, and hole-in-ones give you bonus points, that’s only part of the scoring. The real chaos comes from messing with everyone else. If one of your friends is getting a little too confident, you can hit them with a cyclone that sends their colourful golf ball flying off course. Or you can just aim straight at their ball, smash into it, and score extra points from the collision.

Right now, Netflix Minigolf launches with over 60 levels spread across its popular shows. More content is already planned, and later this year an update will add KPop Demon Hunters-themed courses and new avatars.

There are plenty of familiar characters to choose from

Bridgerton fans can play as Sophie, Queen Charlotte, Penelope, or Benedict. Stranger Things fans get Eleven, the Demogorgon, Hopper, and Max. Then there’s the Squid Game lineup with Young-Hee, Gi-hun, The VIP, and Front Man.

The courses also come with their own hazards that match each world. On the Stranger Things maps, for example, you’ll be playing around Hawkins while Demogorgons randomly pop out beside the fairway to swat your ball away or roar it completely off the path you were aiming for.
