Shelter from the Storm Is a Simple Point-And-Click Adventure Out Now

If you’re into short point-and-click games, there’s a new one you might want to check out. Shelter from the Storm from Home Groan Games is out now on Android. It brings a simple premise that first released in January 2025 on PC.

Everything starts because the main character makes one wrong decision. It’s pouring rain, and your cloaked wanderer is completely soaked. The only thing around is this old, run-down house sitting in the distance. The door was unlocked, and that was the first mistake.

It looks like the perfect place to wait out the storm. You knock on the door. Nobody answers. So, you try the handle anyway, and the door creaks open. And that’s how you end up wandering around a creepy old manor that hasn’t had visitors in a very long time.

You go about exploring the forgotten corners of the grand house that’s now abandoned and wrapped in mystery. You’ll be digging through dusty rooms, searching for useful objects, cracking codes, solving puzzles, and uncovering the hidden past of both the house and the people who once lived there.

Can you survive the night in this Shelter from the Storm?

You don’t have to spend forever randomly combining every item in your inventory with everything on screen. If you’re carrying an item that can be used somewhere, clicking the object automatically uses it. Sometimes the game gives you the answer earlier.

Shelter from the Storm leans into retro presentation, too. Everything uses low-resolution pixel art. The moody pixel visuals and soundtrack help set the atmosphere, while the sarcastic commentary from the main character keeps things from getting too gloomy.

The adventure only covers around a dozen screens, and you can instantly move between adjacent areas. Despite the fairly straightforward puzzles, you might still get stuck briefly if you don’t pay attention to details.

So, that’s it. That’s your simple, straight, and short Shelter from the Storm. It’s now out on the Google Play Store for free.
