Open-World Survival Horror Choo-Choo Charles Lands on Mobile

How does a giant, murderous train with spider legs sound? Scary? But if you’re a daredevil, you can now try facing it right on mobile. That’s because the horror action-adventure game Choo-Choo Charles is now available on Android.

Developed by Two Star Games, Choo-Choo Charles drops you onto a large open-world island. Survival depends on an ageing train that becomes your most valuable weapon. So, Charles is a bloodthirsty train, and you need to destroy him.

Getting to that point, though, involves a lot of travelling across dangerous tracks, scavenging for resources, and helping locals. You even have the threat of getting turned into scrap metal yourself.

Most of the game revolves around navigating the island using your trusty old engine. The railway network twists around the map, and planning where to go next matters because Charles can appear anywhere. Things get even riskier when travelling on foot or stopping to switch track directions.

As you explore, you collect Scraps through missions and looting. You use those materials to upgrade the train into a death machine on wheels. The island is also populated by settlers who hand over powerful weapons and equipment if you help them with their problems first.

Choo-Choo Charles uses NPC quests to guide you toward nearly every major landmark. Completing quests gradually builds your strength until you’re ready for the game’s final objective. That’s summoning Charles for a fight to the death.

The game is full of different kinds of missions. You get stealth missions that involve train-worshipping cultists. They task you with stealing supplies and monster eggs. Then there are the forests and steep hills that might feel empty at first, but they become much more tense when Charles suddenly emerges.

You can grab Choo-Choo Charles from the Google Play Store.
