World Reborn is an adventure activism game that’s now out on Android. The title combines an interactive story with real-world quests. According to Jessica Murrey, CEO and co-founder of Wicked Saints, the studio was founded in response to increasing hate, division, and violence across the United States and around the world. Their goal is to use gameplay as a way to help train young heroes to focus on solving problems and helping communities heal together. World Reborn aims to motivate Gen Z players to take action in the real world The project draws from behavioural science and positive psychology and is designed to strengthen self-belief. Wicked Saints describes World Reborn as proof that players are already stronger than they may realise. So, World Reborn functions as a real-world activation platform wrapped inside a narrative-driven game. It mixes fantasy storytelling with participation from real-life changemakers and offers small actions intended to help younger players improve their well-being, strengthen relationships, and make a positive impact in their communities. Completing real-world actions can reward players with in-game currency as well as real-world rewards provided by brand partners. You spend energy to help save the game’s reality, while you can earn additional energy through training missions completed for real people in real life. Visually, World Reborn has illustrated character art that has a graphic novel-like look. The colours are vibrant, exuding a world that’s generally more visible in a sci-fi game. The game is now available on Android across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Saga 1 consists of 13 episodes released weekly, alongside additional content and features. The latter includes new gameplay systems, a diverse avatar system, and a new real-world quest sponsored by Discord. Also, be sure to read our scoop on Roguelike Autobattler Some of You May Die.
