Pokémon-Inspired Roblox Game Catch a Brainrot Is Coming to the Platform Soon!

Indieun, the developer behind Roblox hits like YouTube Simulator X, is adding another completely unhinged project to the platform. It’s called Catch a Brainrot, and it launches on June 26th, 2026. Before you jump to conclusions, honestly, this one is not another low-effort meme project farming internet trends.

The game takes Pokémon-style monster collecting and mixes it directly into the internet’s brainrot meme theme. Which, by the way, has completely consumed Gen Alpha humour, TikTok feeds, AI meme pages, and half of Roblox lately.

Speaking of brainrot, some call it clever satire, while some call it cursed comedy. And others think it’s just wasted talent poured into AI absurdity. Well, I myself am quite divided about it. It sure is causing a cognitive decline, for sure. But at times, at the end of a long working day, online content is what we all turn to for entertainment.

By the way, Roblox already has a game called Steal a Brainrot. Although the two are absolutely related in theme, the gameplay differs significantly, and they’re made by different creators. Steal a Brainrot focuses on stealing and chaotic multiplayer interactions around brainrot characters.

Meanwhile, Catch a Brainrot is all about creature collecting. So, you start by buying traps, which you use to catch weird brainrot creatures. You then send them into enclosures to generate cash, which lets you upgrade equipment.

There are also bait systems that improve your odds of finding rarer creatures. Additionally, you get hourly weather events and offline progression so that your brainrots keep working even when you log out.
