Type Soul Vows Guide – What Each Does and How To Obtain

In this Type Soul Vows Guide, I vow to tell you what each one does! I’ll also explain how you can get them, so you can improve your build in no time.

Type Soul is available to play via Roblox. For more posts covering this title, check out our Type Soul Cero Crusher Guide and our Type Soul Kendo Guide.

Type Soul Vows Guide

I’ll start by going through all of the Vows available and what they do, and then I’ll explain how to get them.

Update: As of the May 2026 relaunch, Vows are currently removed from the game, with no indication if they will return. The information below can be considered out of date, we’re keeping it for reference purposes in case anyone wants to check back.

All Vows

Vows give you buffs or abilities. Let’s see what they are! I’ll update this post if more are added, so make sure you check back.

Vow of Luck

Once you deal damage and land an attack on your opponent, one of the following effects can happen:

  • Bankrupt
  • Jackpot
    • Increases the damage of moves by 5%.

Vow of Fist

If you reach the requirement for dealing a certain amount of damage, you will unlock the Inner Gates. As you progress and unlock more gates, your HP will deplete. However, your DMG gets a buff!

Keep in mind that this Vow will only work with Hakuda.

Vow of Sacrifice

Conjure a spirit who performs the same moves as you after you do them. This only works on certain moves. Once used, there will be an 8-second cooldown before you can summon the spirit again.

Vow of Potential

If you get tagged in combat, you will get a -15% debuff on your stats. Worry not, though. Once you start to parry or dodge attacks, as well as deal and take damage, your aura will begin to build up.

Your stats become buffed when you gain aura. When your aura reaches the maximum, your stats will then get a 10% buff. Alongside this, this Vow also comes with rollable music.

Vow of Sway

When you parry or perfectly dodge an attack, a bar will fill up. Once it is filled upon being guard broken, an animation plays out where you kick your opponent away. This has a 120-second cooldown. Keep in mind you can’t use this Vow if you have Ancient Vasto.

Vow of Resurgence

You have a 5% debuff in all of your stats at all times. When you are near death, you can revive with a 15% stat buff. However, your health will start to drain, and you will die if your HP reaches 0. Your maximum Reiatsu is also lowered.

How To Get Vows

To get a Vow, you need to speak to the Bamboo Hat Man NPC located in Ring 3 within Hell. He will give you one at random if you battle him. However, players are also reporting that they can obtain Vows through Ranked and Soul Wars.
