What Is The Vow Of Sway?

The Vow Of Sway is one of the Soul Vows, a mechanic introduced with the first part of the Hell update. These are not straight buffs, but rather trade-offs that give you debuffs and conditions in exchange for new abilities or buffs.

The Vow Of Sway is a Soul Vow focused on avoiding getting hit. Scoring a Parry or a Perfect Dodge fills up a new bar on your HUD. Once this fills up, the next time an attacker breaks your guard, rather than just lose your guard, you’ll activate a special dodge and kick your opponent away from you.

Is Vow Of Sway Good?

Like a lot of the Soul Vows, Vow Of Sway’s effectiveness depends a lot on your play style. This may be useful if you have an extremely dodge or parry-heavy fighting style. However, if you fight pretty much any other way, you probably won’t use it enough for it to be a reliable contingency. In short, there are probably more useful Vows out there.
