What Is The Vow Of Potential?

The Vow Of Potential is one of the Soul Vows. These are passives you can acquire that offer both an upside and a downside, rather than a straight buff.

Vow Of Potential is basically a slow start with later rewards. When you start a fight with the Vow Of Potential equipped, you’ll start with a 15% debuff to all of your stats. However, as you battle, you will grow in power. Dealing damage, taking damage, dodging, and parrying will increase your stats. Eventually, it tops out out at an all-round 10% buff to all of your stats and stays there until the fight is done.

Vow Of Potential also comes with a bit of mood music, which will grow and speed up as your Potential increases. It’s a very Anime Protagonist feature.

Vow Of Potential is a risky choice, given the initial debuff, and lends itself to longer fights. Try to avoid wiping out before you get up to speed. Then it does give you a good chance to outmatch the competition late in battle, when your opponent has possibly burned through the best of what they have.

How To Get The Vow Of Potential

The Vow Of Potential comes as a potential reward from the Bamboo Hat Min boss, a boss introduced in the Hell update. You’ll find him within the Hell Maze. The boss is extremely tough, and not really worth considering unless you’re extremely far in your character progression, and extremely well-equipped.
