Kitty Krush: Cat Game Is a Roguelike Deck-Builder Full of Hungry Cats, Out Now!

A new indie card game has dropped on Android. It’s called Kitty Krush: Cat Game. Drawing from Balatro mechanics, it’s a roguelike deck-builder about a cat civilisation enslaving humans. Not through battles, but through constant demands for milk.

The game comes from solo developer The Slanted Room, who says that the game is inspired by the struggle of feeding their newborn baby. Kitty Krush: Cat Game is what happens when cats evolve into a milk-obsessed hive mind, and humanity ends up beneath them in the food chain.

Every chapter revolves around hitting a target score. You use redraws and discards to build hands with score multipliers, like landing a three of a kind. You only get a limited number of hands to reach the requirement before the run dies.

If you clear the target, you move forward into the next chapter and keep upgrading your deck along the way. If you fail, that’s alright, too. Because you ARE supposed to lose early runs and come back stronger later.

The progression system depends on Kitty Coins, which stay with you between runs. You earn them by playing hands and finishing chapters. Even failed runs pay out coins depending on how far you got. The payout scales based on half the chapter reached, rounded up.

You can then spend the coins on stuff like extra hands, extra discards, rerolls for mod cards, and general deck upgrades. There are also Secret Chapters hidden behind massive single-hand scores. So, if you manage to pull off some absurd combo run, more story content unlocks.

Will you try Kitty Krush: Cat Game?

A casual game, you can call it a kitten breeding deck builder. So, interested in a sincere cat apocalypse storyline unfolding chapter by chapter over repeated runs? You can check out the game on the Google Play Store.
