12 May Mobile Gaming Dark Fantasy Roguelike Deckbuilder Rogue Reigns Drops New Gameplay Trailer May 12, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Dark fantasy deckbuilders usually stick to cards, menus, and static backgrounds. And that’s why the first trailer for this new deckbuilder called Rogue Reigns stands out. It looks more animated and physical than most games in the genre. Rogue Reigns is the debut project from Venn Studios, a São Paulo-based indie studio, which plans to launch the deckbuilder in September 2026. It’s coming to PC through Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and iOS and Android. Rogue Reigns, the deckbuilder, just dropped its first gameplay trailer It mixes hand-drawn characters with procedural 3D worlds, and the environments react during combat. Everything is running on Venn Studios’ own proprietary Wildcard engine, which the studio says was built specifically for systemic gameplay and stronger visual fidelity. The first trailer shows muted colours, exaggerated character designs, and fully animated cards. Take a look at it below! A dark fantasy roguelike deckbuilder, the tile offers a party system where every decision slowly ruins somebody on your team. Instead of controlling one hero with one deck, you manage a group of three heroes at once. The whole structure is about imbalance. Meanwhile, the party members include a grieving bear, a guilty lion, a scheming cat, and a rabbit who knows too much. Their skills complement each other, but their personalities definitely don’t. One character’s growth comes directly at another’s expense. The combat system also leans heavily into cross-character interactions. Here, one hero’s setup card becomes another hero’s finisher later in the fight. Meanwhile, the Stalker mechanic lets the creature actively track the party throughout the map. You need to pay attention to environmental warnings like darkening skies and quiet roads to avoid getting caught. Runs normally send you scarred and stitched together. Other features include multiple endings and animated cards with handcrafted effects. Rogue Reigns, the deckbuilder, will launch on mobile, PC and consoles. The Play Store listing is up yet, but the Steam page is now live. Also, read our news on Kitty Krush: Cat Game, a Roguelike Deck-Builder Full of Hungry Cats!
