Battle Waves: Mobile Opens Pre-Registration on Android with Tons of Card Tactics!

Gabriel’s Games has opened pre-registration for its debut title Battle Waves: Mobile. They also dropped the first Gameplay Quick Look for the game. Another Gameplay Quick Look is scheduled for next week before the game releases on May 29th, 2026.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it isn’t actually the first Battle Waves game from developer Gabriel Langlois, the man behind Gabriel’s Games. Langlois was previously leading CAGE Studios, which released its debut title Battle Waves: Card Tactics, on PC in 2024. Meanwhile, he officially revealed the Los Angeles-based indie studio just last week.

The similarities between Card Tactics and Battle Waves: Mobile are impossible to miss. Both games involve deck-building, faction synergies, spawning units into lanes in real time, and building strategies around counters and combinations.

Even the overall art direction, fantasy factions, battlefield layout, and character designs are almost the same. You might even feel the mobile release isn’t a completely separate project, but more like an evolution of the same universe.

But there are differences, too. The biggest one is the pacing. Battle Waves: Mobile is for shorter mobile sessions. It includes both single-player and multiplayer, letting you experiment with counters, endgame builds, and new faction combinations. Take a look at the game below.

Battle Waves: Mobile is a deck-building auto-battler

You build decks, send units out in waves, counter enemy pushes, and try to destroy the opposing base before your own gets flattened. There’s ranked PvP, leaderboards, and a five-act campaign that keeps going through an infinite New Game Plus mode once you finish the main run.

You collect cards with different mechanics, level them up, test faction combinations, and shape your own playstyle around whatever strategies you prefer. PvP lets you take decks online, fight against real opponents, and climb ranked leaderboards.
