Bandai Namco Opens Pre-Registration for Digimon Up on Android

Bandai Namco Entertainment just kicked off pre-registrations for Digimon Up on Android. The game will launch on July 28th, 2026. If you remember, it was first revealed on March 21st, 2026, during the Digimon Con 2026 livestream.

Now, it will be a free-to-play monster-raising RPG that will follow a Digimon journey that moves with your life. You start by picking an egg that hatches into a single Partner Digimon, and from there it’s raising that creature from scratch.

Feeding it, training it, keeping it alive, all that Tamagotchi-style management stuff. Over time, it evolves through different stages, eventually reaching Mega Digivolution. That growth also connects to how strong your Digimon is when you actually fight with it.

A 36-minute video on the official Digimon YouTube channel gave us a glimpse of the game. It showed Terriermon Assistant walk through bits of the game. We now know that there’s an original story coming with the game.

After getting your Digimon ready, you build your team, train them, and get into battles with other Tamers. Digimon cards and Digivices are definitely part of the system, but again, the team hasn’t properly explained how they function yet.

They also showed off a list of Partner Digimon you can start with. It included two new reveals, Renamon and Terriermon, both appearing as pixel sprites for the first time. More will get added before launch.

Pre-register for Digimon Up

Pre-registration is now live on the Google Play Store for Android. Of course, there are rewards based on pre-registration. The big milestone right now is 100,000 preregistrations, which unlocks Gekkomon for players.

Visually, Digimon Up is going with retro pixel art. You’ll run into a bunch of familiar Digimon elements, too. You can take a look at the latest trailer to get an idea of what I’m saying.
