22 Apr Mobile Gaming The Best Android Zombie Games April 22, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment There are so many games on the Play Store that have zombies in them. We could probably fill about three websites if we started listing them all. But that would be crazy, and take us far too much time, so we thought it’d be a better idea to write a list of what we think are the best Android zombie games. There are shooters, there are board games, there are adventures, and there’s even a running app. They’re all really good, and we think you should play them all. You can click on the name of the games below to download them directly from the Play Store. So let’s get on with it. The Best Android Zombie Games Now for the titles. All games listed are premium (that is, you buy them and get all the content) unless otherwise stated. Death Road to Canada A gore-and-humor-soaked road trip that sees you and a bunch of friends trying to drive away from the zombie apocalypse. There are hordes of flesh-eating ghouls, an awesome pixel-art graphical style, and loads more. Radiation Island An open-world survival game set on an irradiated island. You need to fight, craft, and survive. There are zombies, there are bears, and there are other things to fight against. It’s big, it’s fun and it’s pretty challenging. Into the Dead 2 An auto-running, zombie-smashing thrill. There’s an arcade pulse to the experience that makes you want to jump in and try again every time you’re bitten down to the quick. Undead Horde Okay, this one has more to do with necromancy than more traditional zombies, but it’s still really, really good. You’re building an army of the undead, adding troops from your defeated foes, and having a whale of a time doing it. Dead Venture: Zombie Survival Guns are boring, it’s much more fun mowing zombies down in a big truck. That’s kinda the basis of Dead Venture. It’s loads of fun, and crazy in all the right ways, and it’s hard not to play with a smile on your face. This one’s free with IAPs. Zombies, Run! If you’re eager to get more in shape, but feel like you lack motivation to push yourself on a jog, then maybe gameify, and terrify the state of your workout with Zombies, Run! This game/fitness app combo gives you a good reason to get faster, as you take on the role of a survivor in the middle of an undead apocalypse, complete with rounds where you need to outrun the zeds closing in on your location. A perfect way to make you pick up your feet. This one is free, with IAPs. The Walking Dead: Season One The classic, and emotionally devastating, interactive story from TellTale is back and still one of the best. The first episode of this game-exclusive story is free to play, with the rest available to buy through the app. Great if you want to get attached to some great, well-realized characters, only to have the game break your heart… which it delights in doing frequently. Dead Trigger 2 An oldie, but it still does the job admirably. Dead Trigger 2 is a classic zombie FPS that sees you spraying bullets into the undead and laughing as they collapse. It’s tough, it’s entertaining, and it’s got a whole bunch of content for you to sink your fangs into. Despite releasing all the way back in 2013, this is still getting regular updates 13 years later. This one’s free to play with IAP. They Are Coming Any flash gamers from way back might recall The Last Stand, where you try and repel wave after wave of zombies. They Are Coming uses a similar premise, where you need to shore up your defences to fend off an ever-growing horde. It’s a roguelike, so it lasts until you get eaten… which might not be long. The undead aren’t known for being merciful. Project Zomboid (Using Zomdroid) Project Zomboid is, perhaps, one of the greatest zombie survival game ever made. Well, maybe survival is the wrong word, because, you’re going to die eventually. In the meantime, it’s a game of scavenging for supplies, building your base, and trying to escape the slow but relentless hordes. It’s a game that can vary between the crushing despair of being trapped starving in a surrounded house with the horde slowly bashing down your doors, and the goofy euphoria of tearing down the street in a fire ending, dressed as a fast food mascot, scattering undead in all directions. The apocalypse is what you make of it, I guess. Zomdroid is a fan-made project designed to bring the game to our favorite platform, but it has the approval of the Zomboid devs, making it as close to an official port as we have right now. You will need to purchase a PC copy for it to work. (If you like zombie games and own a PC, you should do that anyway, whether you plan to use Zomdroid or not.)
