03 Mar GameNews Pokemon Pokopia Preorders Include A Physical Tote Bag And Bonus In-Game Items March 3, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Pokemon Pokopia is almost here, but early reviews aren’t making the wait any easier. Our own review gave the spin-off an impressive 9/10, noting its cozy Animal Crossing-inspired vibes and fascinating world bursting at the seams with secrets to discover. And if the reviews have finally convinced you to pick it up when it launches on March 5, consider locking in a preorder to earn a few exclusive bonuses. This includes various in-game goodies, as well as a physical collectible from Best Buy. Pokemon Pokopia Preorder Bonuses Preordering any version of Pokemon Pokopia gets you an in-game Ditto rug decoration item. This can be placed in your in-game home to add some Ditto-y charm to your living space. Additionally, certain retailers are also offering exclusive bonus items. Preordering either the digital or physical versions at Best Buy will get you a free canvas tote bag. Amazon, on the other hand, is offering the Flat-Lead Plant in-game decoration. It’s not nearly as exciting as the physical tote bag at Best Buy, but it’s a nice bonus if you’re dead set on preordering at the online retailer. Preorders are available at Walmart and GameStop, too, though no exclusive bonuses are offered. First revealed in September 2025, Pokemon Pokopia is set in a world where humanity has vanished and looks inspired by games like Minecraft, Animal Crossing, and Dragon Quest Builders. One peculiar Ditto returns to find the land withered, and its only remaining resident is a Tangrowth, known simply as Professor Tangrwoth. Using its transformation powers to pass itself off as a human, the Ditto works to restore the land and inspire other Pokemon to return. “Pokopia potently delivers on the fantasy of creating a community of Pokemon friends, meeting them as equals, and trying to understand their unique interests,” wrote critic Steve Watts. “And it does all of this in an incredibly flexible world full of secrets to discover and pieces to break apart and put back together as you wish. All of this combines to make it one of the best Pokemon spin-offs ever, and an excellent way to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary.” Interested in adding other Pokemon games to your catalog? Though it’s not currently on sale, Pokemon Legends: Z-A also earned excellent reviews, giving you a chance to explore the vibrant Lumiose City as you command your creatures during real-time encounters. There’s also a gorgeous PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller available for $60. Adorned with purple and yellow Pikachu graphics and compatible with both Switch and Switch 2, it’s a nice complement for Pokopia. And while it lacks a C Button, it’s two mappable back buttons, 30-hour battery life, and support for motion controls make it a nice alternative to the expensive Switch 2 Pro Controller.
