Is The Fisch New Years Rod Worth It? – Stats and Passives

Happy New Year! To welcome 2026, there is a brand new Fisch New Years Rod which is completely 2026-themed. This guide goes through the stats and passives it has, and whether it’s worth the cost.

Fisch New Years Rod

You can purchase the New Years Rod from Moosewood for 20,260C$. There is a small wagon near the Shipwright NPC, and the rod is leaning against it. Simply interact with it to purchase it.

As this is an event rod, it will soon become unavailable, and you will not be able to purchase it again. If you want it, it’s best to buy it now before it’s too late.

As we’ve just entered 2026, the stats (and price) of this rod reflect the year, and everything is 26-themed!

• Lure Speed: 26%
• Luck: 126%
• Control: 0.26 (56% width)
• Resilience: 26%
• Max KG: 26,000kg

This rod also comes with a few passive abilities:

• +26% progress speed.
• 15% chance for the New Years mutation with +100% progress speed.
  • This mutation increases the value by 2.6x

Is The Rod Worth It?

It isn’t the best rod in the game, and I’d say it’s only worth purchasing if you enjoy collecting the different rods available, especially exclusive ones. The stats aren’t terrible for the price, but it’s seen as a Stage 3 Rod, which is low.

Like other rods, if you do want it to be your new go-to for fishing, it’s suggested you enchant it to give it a boost. Here are some suggestions:
