Retro-Style Flight Sim Legendary Pilots Drops on Android

A new indie flight game called Legendary Pilots has launched on Android. The game lets you live through a pilot’s entire career. It blends flying with long-term progression, airline operations, and management decisions.

Brought to mobile by MicroProse and Brakbox, Legendary Pilots is a stylised flight simulator. It lets you fulfil your wish (if you have any) of becoming a pilot over time. And you don’t even need to master exact real-world aviation procedures.

The experience combines hands-on flying with broader systems such as route planning, passenger handling, aircraft ownership, and airline economics. The game draws inspiration from classic titles and uses retro pixel art visuals influenced by older aviation and management games.

Legendary Pilots places heavy emphasis on airline operations. You manage routes and passengers within a living airline economy and make crew-related decisions. You also compete against AI-controlled companies through competitive airline rankings set in a dynamic, fictional world.

A simplified navigation system based on radio-compass mechanics replaces more complex real-world navigation. Meanwhile, AI air traffic fills the skies to create a sense of activity and scale. You can check out the game on the Google Play Store.

The game is free-to-play!

You start as a novice pilot and gradually build your reputation, advancing through a progressive career system that leads toward becoming a seasoned professional. Along the way, you gain access to multiple flyable aircraft, including turbo-props and regional jets.

The devs are also planning a PC edition for the game. While it’s free on mobile, the PC version will be a premium release on Steam. Until then, you can try out the mobile version.
