Doki Doki Literature Club! Lands on Android with New Side Stories and an Exclusive Music Player

Serenity Forge and Team Salvato have brought Doki Doki Literature Club! to mobile. Serenity Forge is the publisher of the hit post-apocalyptic RPG series LISA (LISA, LISA: The Painful, and LISA: The Joyful). While Team Salvato is an indie studio headed by Dan Salvato.

Doki Doki Literature Club! is a psychological horror visual novel

It initially appears to be a casual dating sim, but it’s actually a metafictional psychological horror game. A mix of cheerful school poetry and creeping dread, it tells the story of Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri, and Monika.

You step into the role of a high schooler who only joins the Literature Club because he’s hoping for a romantic lead. From there, you spend your afternoons trying to impress someone through the poems you write.

Moments that look harmless at first slowly warp depending on your choices. You try to form the perfect ending out of every poem draft, every menu decision, every mistake you erase along the way.

On mobile, Doki Doki Literature Club! brings six new side stories about friendship and literature. It also offers more than 100 unlockable images, which you can save directly as wallpapers.

Both the full DDLC and DDLC Plus soundtracks are included. There’s a built-in music player that lets you loop a single track forever. There are 26 total songs, 13 of them brand new from Nikki Kaelar, with Jason Hayes and Azuria Sky appearing as special guests.

Optional content from Doki Doki Literature Club Plus is available as a paid add-on for $9.99. The devs have also dropped the Doki Doki Literature Club Mobile Accessories Bundle for $39.99. It includes a Monika acrylic phone standee featuring art by LucidSky and other merch.
