Man City Esports, the esports division of Manchester City Football Club, has unveiled its new gaming facility at the Etihad Stadium.

According to a release, the new studio will be used by Man City Esports’ FC 24 and Fortnite players to practice, compete and create content.

Gaming chair brand Herman Miller has equipped the facility with its products, using the brand’s Embody Gaming Chairs.

Founded in 2016, Manchester City’s esports division has experienced significant expansion in recent years. On the esports side, its player roster boasts the presence of Donovan ‘Tekkz’ Hunt and Matías ‘Bonanno’ Bonanno, the latest ePremier League champions, who went undefeated throughout the competition and earned a spot at the FC Pro 24 World Championship in Berlin. In particular, Bonanno also finished in the top four in the latest eChampions League.

The football club’s efforts, however, do not stop at the competitions. Man City bolstered its presence in the industry back in 2021 when it joined forces with FaZe Clan to host a Fortnite tournament. The two also worked on activations and pop-up events the following year. The esports division is also a part of the UK Esports Teams Committee.

Manchester City also collaborated with Korean esports organisation Gen.G to create unique experiences and engagement opportunities for fans. This included events that took place in both South Korea and the UK, as well as launching limited-edition, co-branded merchandise.
