Astralis finds gaming chair partner in Secretlab

Secretlab has been named the official gaming chair partner of Danish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team Astralis.

Coinciding with the announcement of the deal, the ‘Secretlab Astralis: Chair of Champions Edition’ gaming chair will be available for purchase.

Ian Alexander Ang, CEO and Co-founder of Secretlab discussed the partnership: “Astralis approached us with one simple goal: Being one of the world’s top teams, they only wanted to provide their players with the best gaming seats in the world to comfortably support and further their global domination in CS:GO. This further exemplifies how the world’s top professionals today demand only top-quality gaming products to enhance their gaming performance—and that’s why Secretlab has become the gaming seats of choice for the world’s best esports organisations and top tournaments.”

Astralis has added Secretlab to its roster of partners, with the gaming chair brand joining Unibet, Jack & Jones, OMEN by HP, Turtle Beach, Logitech G, and NOCCO. The CS:GO brand has parted ways with RFRSH Entertainment due to the parent company also owning BLAST Pro Series, which created controversy surrounding the possibility of a conflict on interest.

Jakob Lund Kristensen, EVP Sales and Co-founder of Astralis also commented on the deal: “Being some of the top professionals in our field, we are very selective of our partners, especially for hardware, where it heavily influences our performance. So when it came to selecting a gaming chair partner, Secretlab was without a doubt our first choice; their quality and comfort is unparalleled. For professional gamers who spend more time in their chairs than in their beds, it is crucial that they use the very best so they can perform at the very best of their abilities.

Secretlab is also partnered with the likes of Riot Games’ LCS, Cloud9, Team Secret, PGL, Atlanta Reign, Newbee, and OGN.

Esports Insider says: While Astralis’ reign at the top of CS:GO is over, they’re still a great team with a passionate fan base so it’s not overly surprising to see that it can secure new partnerships. Deals with gaming chair brands are rather common in the esports industry so there’s nothing groundbreaking about this one in particular –  the chair does look quite comfortable, though.
