This week in esports: Kappa, Bumble, Honda, Toyota


This week in esports saw Kappa become the latest sportswear brand to enter esports, dating app Bumble launch an all-female team with Gen.G esports, Honda expand its presence through Riot Games’ LCS, and BLAST Pro Series partner with Toyota for its stop in Moscow.

Kappa enters esports with Vexed Gaming partnership

Italian sportswear brand Kappa entered esports through a partnership with UK-based organisation Vexed Gaming.

The deal will see Kappa provide apparel for Vexed Gaming’s players to wear both casually and when competing. The collection will be available for purchase in September.

Gen.G partners with Bumble for all-women Fortnite team

Multinational organisation Gen.G esports entered a partnership with social and dating application Bumble.

The partnership includes the launch of the organisation’s first all-female Fortnite team. The app will also act as a jersey sponsor for the team.

Riot Games announces Honda as automotive partner of LCS

Riot Games named automobile manufacturer Honda as the exclusive automotive sponsor of its North American competition, LCS.

The deal commences with the Summer Split Playoffs, starting August 10th, and Honda will also be present at the Finals in Detroit on August 24-25th.

BLAST Pro Series Moscow announces partnership with Toyota

RFRSH Entertainment named Japanese car manufacturer Toyota as an official partner for the Moscow stop in its BLAST Pro Series.

The partnership will see Toyota integrated into the broadcast of the tournament, including the closed CIS qualifications on August 10-11th.
