Team Liquid makes HUYA its Chinese streaming partner

Netherlands-based esports organisation Team Liquid partnered with Chinese content platform HUYA.

Players that represent Team Liquid in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Apex Legends, Hearthstone, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will all be available to watch on HUYA.

FILA enters esports with Counter Logic Gaming partnership

North American organisation Counter Logic Gaming appointed sportswear brand FILA as the official apparel partner of its Fortnite team.

Counter Logic Gaming’s Fortnite players will wear select FILA apparel during the Fortnite World Cup Finals over July 26-28th. The organisaton will also promote FILA through its social channels.

ReKTGlobal welcomes Nicky Romero as latest investor

ReKTGlobal, the parent company of North American organisation Rogue, received investment from Nicky Romero.

The DJ and record producer will support the company, and its esports organisation, with its planned global expansion through “strategic integrations and partnerships.”

Twitch acquires Bebo for $25 million

Amazon-owned live streaming video platform Twitch acquired Bebo – the former social media platform – for a total of $25 million (£19.9 million).

Following this acquisition, it’s reported that Bebo’s technology and staff is being put to use on Twitch Rivals to help it expand in terms of both features and audience.
