Geometric Puzzle Game Drop Duchy Launches on Mobile!

Drop Duchy, the beloved PC game is now out on mobile. It’s a block-dropping puzzle game, but you get to run an entire kingdom with it. Developed by French game studio Sleepy Mill Studio, the game is published by Doghowl Games on mobile.

Drop Duchy takes the familiar geometric puzzle gameplay and completely changes the goal. You’re not just clearing lines and watching shapes disappear. You build a realm, collecting resources, raising an army, protecting your castle and marching off to smash an enemy fortress.

It’s a mix of deckbuilding, puzzle gameplay and rogue-lite mechanics, with a bit of real-time strategy thrown into the pot for good measure. Alongside all that, Drop Duchy has a charming art style and an engaging soundtrack that keeps evolving as you play.

You work with landscapes containing lush forests, wild rivers, grassy plains and other terrain. Choosing the right structures to put beside them can make a huge difference. Forming lines gives you bonuses, but the resources and materials help you build up your army.

You’ll have to adapt to what you get, which is where the block-stacking tactician part starts getting serious. There are also different routes, with lakes, glades, forests, villages, guilds and more appearing along the way.

If your army gets wiped out before you can capture the enemy bastion, you can jump straight back in with a new strategy to unlock more content. Drop Duchy has over 110 unique cards, including building and technology cards that can give you new bonus structures.

Markets and guilds give you another way to get valuable resources during a run. The game also features over 100 unique missions. You can unlock bonuses such as increased resources, new cards and additional health. And you get three playable factions: The Duchy, The Order and The Republic.
