RuneScape Drops Havenhythe Part II with New Areas, Quests and Storylines

Jagex has just dropped Part II of Havenhythe in RuneScape. The island is the largest-ever area expansion in the MMORPG’s 25-year history. The new members-only update opens up four brand-new areas and a completely standalone Bangolin quest. Meanwhile, the Sanguine storyline is also moving toward its big climax.

There are some requirements before you can see everything, though. Members will need to have completed Secrets of Amberfell and reach 55 Herblore, 51 Crafting, 65 Mining, and 60 Smithing. The new mining activity specifically requires 65 Mining and 51 Crafting.

The path east of Amberfell is finally open, taking you into the rest of Havenhythe, including the Boglands of Fenmoor and the rather strange Exalted Quarry. There are new creatures, skilling activities, rewards, secrets, and more.

The big story continuation comes through the new Heralds of Crimson quest. Inanna’s visions of Wendlewick’s demise are getting closer to reality. And the Sanguine threat spreading toward Wendlewick will send you beyond Amberfell and through the new regions of Havenhythe.

The new place Heathervein is quite interesting, too. It’s a mining settlement with the Exalted Quarry. The quarry gives you a new way to gather Runecrafting supplies while training Mining and Crafting, with Essence Lumps, Chunks, and Slabs being mined from deposits throughout the area before you process them into Rune Essence.

There are also new drops to hunt down while dealing with Havenhythe’s Sanguine enemies. Crimson Ichor can now drop from Sanguine Bogolins, Sanguine Werewolves, and Ravenous Strigoi. You can combine the Ichor with Remnant Energy to make three new Sigil Codices: the Sanguine Offering Codex, Vampyre Slayer Codex, and Vital Drain Codex.

And then there are the bigger rewards!

The headline one is an ultra-rare, best-in-slot hatchet, while Bogolin Pearls can be collected and spent on local rewards and upgrades. There are also Chima Moss Spools, which provide stackable bowstring resources, plus a Bogolin Knife and Torch and new sources of standard rune essence.
