Aniimo Launches on Mobile with Cross-Play, Cross-Progression and Co-Op Features

A week after launching on PC and consoles, Aniimo is now available on mobile. Pawprint Studio’s creature-catching RPG had a pretty solid first week, because it’s managed to stay in the Top 10 Steam top sellers worldwide.

Aniimo on mobile supports full cross-play and cross-progression with the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and aniimo.com. There are more than 200 Aniimo with different rarities and forms depending on things like the weather and the biome you’re exploring.

You play as a Pathfinder in Aniimo

Explore the world of Idyll while collecting the magical creatures called Aniimo. There’s a Twining mechanic, which lets you merge with the creatures you collect and actually take control of them. That gives you access to their abilities for things like combat, getting around the world, and solving puzzles.

A couple of the new additions are Squarrel and its evolution, Squashel. Squarrel is a squirrel-like creature that rolls down hills while holding onto its tail. Its attacks are built around fast combo mechanics and powerful tail abilities. There’s also Sparkelf, another lively and enthusiastic Aniimo joining the roster.

And there’s a lot of Idyll to mess around in. It’s an open world with different areas and ecosystems where Aniimo can grow and evolve, along with quests, activities, puzzles, mysteries, and more.

Then there’s the Homeland system, which gives every Pathfinder their own little part of Idyll to customise. You can design and decorate your home however you want, farm and harvest with your Aniimo, and take part in activities with them while working together toward your goals.

Aniimo has a bunch of co-op features too. There’s the Horn, which lets you call for help from friends or random players out in the open world. The Flute can be used to invite other players to a location or find people nearby. Come to Me instantly brings your allies over to your location. You can also choose to follow another player and let them lead you around Idyll.
